VERDICT…
Devotees of the dominant/submissive culture featured in the narrative will find kindred spirits in Sharon and her partner. Those unfamiliar with it may discover a secret yearning of their own.
Couldn’t be happier with the review.
4.5
Sharon seems to have it all–a loving husband, two wonderful children, a rosy future rife with opportunity. After a while, though, she grows to feel that there is something missing in her life. When that something turns out to be an entirely new sexual identity. It turns her marriage upside down and turns her life into a whirlwind of erotic adventure.
AMERICAN CULTURE…
Before that upheaval, Sharon lived her comfortable life with the mix of quiet desperation and the compliant acceptance so prevalent in American culture since the post-war boon.
When a random encounter stirs up an aggressively dominant side of her personality that had laid dormant for years, Sharon sees that side of herself as a the way by which she can drag herself out of her domestic doldrums.
DOMINANT DRIVE…
She informs her husband, Frank, of her new-found dominant drive. He agrees to go along with it for her happiness, but when his half-hearted attempts at acting the sexual submissive fall short of Sharon’s needs, she informs him that she will be seeking other submissives outside the marriage. Sharon finds her outside submissive in Livio the brother of her best friend, who she’s known since he was a little boy. Right in front of her nose.
Now a very successful and sexy adult, Livio reveals that he’s had a crush on Sharon since he was young. He also reveals to her that he’s a submissive and thus a perfect complement to Sharon’s newly found dominant streak. Theirs soon turns into a full-blown dominant/submissive relationship, complete with rampant foot-kissing and the consistent intonation of the titular “I’m here for you my Goddess”.
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY…
Although Sharon and Livio’s arrangement is intense and all-encompassing when in action, Sharon’s focus remains first and foremost on her marriage and family. The dominance wielded in her sexual encounters manifests itself outside those encounters as nothing short of absolute devotion to her loved ones.
As expected, her extramarital indulgences do raise the occasional speed bumps in the marriage, but in the end she and Frank come to see that any difficulties that arise only help them grow stronger as a couple.
SECRET YEARNING…
Devotees of the dominant/submissive culture featured in the narrative will find kindred spirits in Sharon and her partner. Those unfamiliar with it may discover a secret yearning of their own.
And those who are neither here nor there on the sub/dom scale, but who are just fans of racy romance tales will not be disappointed by this promising erotic debut.
